My Review

5 Stars—especially for self-published non-fiction authors. I am a traditionally published fiction author, and even though I feel like this book is slightly more geared toward self-published authors of non-fiction, I gleaned many insightful tips.

How to Sell Books by the Truckload on Amazon is as easy to read as it is instructive. In essence, this book teaches you how to get your book noticed by Amazon and consequently, have Amazon publicize your book for you. Getting Amazon—one of the largest online retailers and search engines—to work for you? Enticing! Penny Sansevieri highlights ways to get your book the traction it needs on Amazon to spark the algorithm. Amazon will then recommend your books to readers, etc... Because Amazon wants to sell too! If your book is selling well, Amazon will want to push your sales even more.

This book covers various tips necessary for an author to be successful on Amazon, including how to find the right keywords for your novel, which categories to place your book under, how to utilize Amazon themes for fiction and more. I certainly have a better understanding of Amazon after reading this book. As a fiction author, I especially enjoyed the sections titled Amazon Themes and Amazon Author Central. With clear writing, diagrams, and illustrations, this book made for a fast and informative read.
